_South Shore Sports Complex is pleased to announce that we will now be offering College/Academy Showcases for all sports (Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Lacrosse, and Basketball). These showcases/clinics will be run by local colleges, scouts, and former professionals. Athletes of all ages can benefit from this great program exclusively offered at South Shore Sports Complex.
Allen Watson Baseball Clinic
Former Yankee and Met pitcher Allen Watson will be hosting a Baseball Clinic every Monday at South Shore Sports Complex. Sessions are from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
Allen Watson posted a superb 2.10 ERA with a 3.00 K/BB ratio for the World Series Champion Yankees in 1999. He held the Boston Red Sox scoreless in his 3 ALCS appearances in 1999.

Steve King Baseball Skills Academy
Farmingdale State College Pitcher Steve King will be hosting baseball skills clinics every Tuesday at South Shore Sports Complex. Sessions are from 5:30pm to 7:00pm for ages 6 to 11 and from 7:00pm to 8:30pm for ages 11+.
In high school, Steve earned All Conference honors in 2005 and 2006 for Freeport High School. After high school he went on to pitch for Farmingdale State College. The Farmingdale Rams were 3x Conference Champions during his time there and were NY State Champions and competitors in the College World Series in 2009. Steve was elected Hampton Collegiate All-Star during that 2009 season and earned All Conference honors in 2010.

Long Island's Alberston Soccer Club Coach Alex Teran will be hosting soccer clinics at South Shore Sports Complex.
Alex was a 2x All Conference soccer player for Long Beach High School. He continued to play in college for Nassau Community College and Syracuse University. After college he played professionally for a Greek team called Salamina; who competed in Super League, Champion's League in NY, Verizon Cup, Concacaf, and USAFA. After his professional career ended he began coaching teams like Brooklyn's oldest Gjoa team, Queens' Blau Weiss' Gottschee, and currently coaching Long Island's great Alberston Soccer Club.

516 Lacrosse Girl's Lacrosse Clinic
516 Lacrosse will be hosting a Girl's Lacrosse clinics at South Shore Sports Complex.
The 516 Lacrosse clinic is designed to help lacrosse players excel in the sport of lacrosse. As coaches they want the players to continue to learn and advance their lacrosse skills. Their clinics attend the needs of the beginner and intermediate players.

Mohamed Diakite Basketball Clinic
St. John's University Center Muhammed Diakite will be hosting basketball clinics at South Shore Sports Complex.
As a senior in high school, Muhammed averaged a double-double, scoring 18.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 6.1 blocks per game. He was named first-team All-Beltway Conference as Montrose won the Beltway Conference. He played in the Capital Classic All-Star Game, beating the United States team and earned MVP of the DC Kenner League All-Star game. Muhammed was a member of Team America as a junior, an all-star team that played the Junior National Teams of Spain, France and Germany in Spain, and was coached by St. John's assistant Dermon Player.

Former New York Mets Shortstop Kevin Baez and current Long Island Ducks Manager will be hosting Baseball Clinics at South Shore Sports Complex.
Baez was an anchor for the Ducks’ 2004 championship team, reaching base 119 times with 36 runs scored and 40 RBI in 98 games played. He was selected to the Atlantic League All-Star team and took home MVP honors after going 2-for-4 with two RBI and scored the go-ahead run in the North’s 10-8 victory over the South.
